This past week has been a fun one. I spent less time working and more time AWAY from my computer. It was a much-needed luxury and I really appreciated getting away for a little bit.

I organized my room (or at least started the process…it’s nowhere near finished!) and cleaned out my closet a little bit because things were starting to get a little too cluttered for my liking. And then I ended the week with the best fourth of july weekend spent on the lake with friends and lots of good yummy food. No joke, I ate 6 burgers this weekend. wowza.

Once I got back from the lake on Sunday, I spent most of my afternoon doing absolutely nothing and watching lots and lots of Netflix ;)

Went over to my friend Jaynie’s house to have ‘family dinner’ with her and her siblings. Sometimes I like to pretend like they’re my siblings too ;) Since my family is all in Louisiana, it’s nice to have a little taste of family from time to time – especially on a Sunday evening after a long weekend.

I was so excited to finally get my hands on this color! I’ve actually tried to buy it 2x at Nordstrom and once at Sephora, but they were always sold out! So I finally ordered it for myself online and I LOVE the color. It’s actually the best selling color this summer for YSL and maybe even for all lipstick colors? but I could be remembering that wrong…

Took this before hopping in the car and heading to Possum Kingdom lake for the weekend! A few friends and I went for the weekend and it was such a blast…I wish every weekend could be spent on the lake. I forgot how much I loved being by, near and on still water.
