Today’s post is the first of 3 posts in collaboration with a local Dallas hair and makeup artist, Tracy of Tracy Melton Artistry. We’ve been talking about getting together for months and thought it would be fun to do a little shoot featuring 3 different hair styles with 3 different outfits. This laid back, messy side braid took Tracy (literally!) 6 minutes and it went perfectly with this cute little floral set. Don’t you think?! Stay tuned for the next 2 looks coming up over the next week…there may or may not be a faux-hawk involved (I know, taking a step on the wild side…)

I’m not sure if I’ve ever worn an outfit this flirty – like, ever. Not only does it involve short shorts and a crop top, but it’s also bright, playful and ruffled. ;) I’ve been on the market for a cute matching set all summer and this one was the perfect find! I loved this one I wore on BTD back in May but I wanted something a little less serious (the pencil skirt made it dressier) and a little more fun.  I’m loving all the high-waisted-short- and-crop-top combos I’ve been seeing lately too!
